When school ended I knew that my dream school is Foothill Ive always wanted to go to Foothill. I wanted to go to Foothill because I loved the small campus which is not small to me . but compared to Ventura High its pretty small. Over all I knew that Foothill would be the school for me.
During my 8th grade year I knew that I’m going to try my best to get into Foothill. When the School of Choice applications arrived at my school I was so excited that I filled out half of it before I even got home. I have always had a passion for technology and I knew I would excel at Foothill especially after I heard about the Bioscience Academy which sounded really interesting to me. Some of my friends didn't want to go to Foothill because of the music or the sports or losing some of their friends but I still didn't listen when they said don’t go and I’m glad I didn't.
My parents were encouraging me to go to Foothill so I knew they would help me get in. My best friend was also applying to Foothill so I knew that if we both got in I would have at least one friend with me on the first day of school. When I checked the mail one day saying that I got in I could barely stand up I called my best friend and found out that he got in too I was really excited. When freshman orientation started it was really cool they had this parachute where you run under to get to the spirito hall and we played these fun games like simon says it was really cool. Two weeks later it was the first day of school and it was pretty good I made some new friends and even found a place to eat lunch I really liked my first day.
I've spent a month Foothill and so far I really like it my teachers are great and the amount of homework is nothing to what I expected. I think my hardest class would probably be geometry not because of the teacher or because I don’t understand it mostly because I’m mostly an algebra guy. But other than that I do feel comfortable here because of my friends are with me, my teachers are nice to me, and I especially like the small campus its easier to get from class to class. I do have one regret which is not doing better on the 7th grade CST to get into Honors English but now that I’m in college prep English I do believe it is a little bit of a challenge.
In conclusion I am really happy that I applied to Foothill and got accepted. If you’re a freshman at Foothill I hope you try your 100 percent in high school. My name is Manish Manwani and I am a Foothill freshman.
